Due to a substantial increase in workload, one of the UK''s leading Medical Communications Agencies are looking to recruit a Senior Account Director to join their busy Client Services department. imc Group is global medical communications agency with offices in London, Cambridge, Toronto, Boston and Egypt.


The Senior Account Director (SAD) will oversee the implementation of programmes in-line with the agreed project specification, and on budget. They will develop in depth relationships with clients in a leadership capacity and demonstrate strong competencies in scientific and strategic counsel to maximise organic growth across their accounts. It is likely that the SAD will have responsibility for a larger portfolio of projects / client business than the SAD and will play a more prominent role in managerial aspects of the CST.

The SAD will take increasing responsibility for identifying new business opportunities and bringing in new clients with support from the senior management team.


The successful candidate will have extensive experience within a medical communications and knowledge of industry codes of practice, previous account director at an agency and experience securing new business. Experience managing challenging clients or issues. You will also have excellent attention to detail and be a "perfectionist" when it comes to delivering high quality and accurate content. Good financial and commercial acumen. Powerful project management skills, and commercial awareness. Excellent verbal communication and client influencing skills.

The role will also entail line management. The successful candidate will have extensive line management experience.
