Health Interactions,  one of the Nucleus Global agencies, are  looking for a talented and enthusiastic Scientific Director with experience of the respiratory therapy area, to be based in our London or Manchester offices or working from home.  This is a great opportunity to grow your career within a fun, thriving and innovative med comms team. 


In this role you will lead the business unit team to provide editorial, scientific and strategic expertise to leading international pharmaceutical clients and colleagues within the agency. You will guide the development of your teams'' projects and will assist in their tactical implementation. You will lead discussions in client meetings / teleconferences and work in partnership with the Client Services Lead to provide leadership of account teams, to ensure client expectations are achieved.


You will lead the medium- and long-term resource planning, line/performance management, staff development and training, and succession planning.


The successful candidate will take an active part in the core management team, leading business development opportunities in partnership with Client Services and the Business Development team.


To succeed you will have a  degree in the life sciences, ideally with a PhD or MSc, and several years’ experience in an agency environment or in the pharmaceutical industry itself. Experience of  managing and developing a medical writing team and proven leadership and influencing skills in a multidisciplinary environment are required. You will have excellent organisational and project management skills. A full  understanding of regulation is desired, in particular publication planning and guidelines underpinning medical communications activities.
