Background:

Looking to get started in the world of Medical Writing? Interested in working for a successful, independent company? Want to experience a variety of project types and disease areas? If so, Cambridge Medical Communication might be the perfect place for you.

Our roles:

We are welcoming applicants for our Medical Writer role. Medical Writers handle the creation and delivery of a range of scientific communication materials, including publications, advisory boards, training programmes, and market access materials.

As a Medical Writer, you’ll be responsible for undertaking literature research, becoming an expert in the science, and creating the content for a broad range of project types and disease areas. The role may involve international travel to scientific meetings and advisory boards, and you’ll also be trained in editorial processes and project management, giving you the opportunity to explore different areas of the business.

About us:

We’re a small but highly capable agency based near Cambridge, UK. We’ve been in the medical communications industry for 20 years, and we work on a broad range of project types – from medical affairs and market access, to publications and print projects.

At Cambridge Medical Communication, you’ll benefit from:
  • working on a variety of disease areas and project types – giving you a fantastic start in the world of drug development, and allowing you to discover where your talents lie
  • individualised training – you’ll receive one-on-one tuition from our experienced team, so we can tailor your training to your precise needs
  • a friendly and family atmosphere – where you can join a close-knit team of talented and like-minded individuals.
About you:

We are looking for creative, talented and highly motivated people to join our team. You will need excellent communication skills, the ability to pick up new concepts quickly, and a flair for writing intelligent, compelling, and scientifically sound materials. You’ll also need a keen eye for detail and exceptional written English.

Applicants for the Medical Writer role require a life sciences degree (2:1 or above) and must be able to demonstrate experience in writing and communicating scientific information. A postgraduate qualification is advantageous but not necessary.
