We offer highly specialist services to global pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, including medical communications, healthcare learning,clinical and commercial consultancy, market access, rare diseases, genomic medicine, digital engagement and advocacy.


The opportunity

AMICULUM has developed an excellent reputation among the clients we serve. This has led to the successful growth of our business through reputation, relationships and referrals. To support our goals of sustainable growth with an expanded and diversified client base, we are creating a new graduate-level role to support our business development team. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded individual to develop their career in this area, under the guidance of our business development lead. There is significant potential for the future development of this role, depending on your skills and aptitude. Areas of progression of the role could include other aspects of business development, such as deeper involvement in proposals and pitches, marketing and social media activities, or account management.

You will join our thriving team in Manchester or Bollington (Cheshire), and occasional travel to other AMICULUM locations will be required.


Key responsibilities will include:

·        Conducting research to identify promising products and companies to target; identifying and profiling potential contacts within target companies

·        Supporting the planning and implementation of congress activities and materials for business development, including booths, banners, print items and giveaways

·        Helping to develop,update and maintain materials, tools and resources that facilitate business development across AMICULUM. These may include (but are not limited to)slide/resource libraries, case studies, proposals databases, staff expertise,best-practice toolkits

·        Supporting proposal and pitch development, including project management and content development, such as collecting biographies and case studies


About you

You will be a recent graduate with a commercial mindset and a keen interest in business development. You will have a result-focused approach to your work with strong organizational and project management skills and high attention to detail. You will have an interest in growing the business, with the aptitude to bring your own ideas.

You will reflect the key attributes that we look for in all colleagues, which are:

·        Intellectual curiosity: you will have a strong academic record and a relevant degree in lifesciences, business or marketing

·        Teamwork and collaboration: you will be an enthusiastic team member, collaborating with colleagues both locally and internationally
