Graphic Designer- Med Comms Agency- Reading- Up to £35k

Brilliant opportunity for a Graphic Designer/ Creative artworker with over a year''s med comms agency experience to come and join the healthcare comms division of an international CRO. This Designer role will involve creating a wide range of deliverables illustrations, websites, presentations and company branding to support pharmaceutical clients in communicating to healthcare professionals.

This agency is a large CRO who also have a med comms team based in Reading. They work on a variety of materials including publications planning and events.

The Role

This role will involve creating a wide range of deliverables by working closely with senior creative staff, client guidelines and various other stakeholders. The role will involve the following key responsibilities:

  • Develop designs and layouts as directed by more senior members of the design team.
  • Lay out product illustrations, printed collateral, company branding logos, internet websites and presentations.
  • Create illustrations including technical graphics, line art, forms, flowcharts, screens and reports using design applications.
  • Check all proof stages from initial layouts to colour printers'' proofs. Prepare files for electronic release/printing and review press proofs.
  • Maintain archives of graphic files, layouts, and client-related logos.


To apply for this Graphic Designer opportunity, our client was hoping for candidates with the following skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor''s degree in a field related to art of graphic design.
  • Over 1 years'' experience working in the graphics industry within a Medical Communications agency.
  • Demonstratable experience using the following applications: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Quark, Suitcase Fusion, Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Good layout and typesetting skills and knowledge of design and print production processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
