Account Manager

Job Details:


Main purpose of job:

·  Manage projects from briefing through to delivery
·  Manage the profit and loss on the assigned projects
·  Manage daily client communications and status updates with clients and suppliers
·  Manage the quality of client deliverables
·  Support the Operations Director in managing assignments during their absence

 

Responsibilities:

Functional
·  The smooth running of accounts to meet project objectives
·  Day-to-day delivery of projects and programs for clients with pre-agreed timelines and budget
·  The range of day-to-day communications with clients and/or external suppliers
·  Developing strong relationships internally with team members, and externally with clients and key opinion leaders

Managerial
·  Understand the client’s brand strategy and apply this to the development of tactical proposals
·  Taking an active role in the strategic and scientific requirements of the account
·  Preparing project proposals and budgets, monitoring the financial status of each project
·  Establishing priorities and anticipating problems in order to meet deadlines, find solutions and assess resourcing needs for the account
·  Ensuring accuracy of all work produced internally, supporting the editorial team as necessary
·  Mentoring and training junior team members
·  Managing and tracking personnel expenses

Operational
·  Ensuring internal operating procedures meet client requirements, propose updates as required
·  Tracking time against client accounts and producing management reports as required
·  Delivering accurate client status reports, call reports either by yourself or by an Account Executive
·  Delivering the project reconciliation, as directed by a Senior Account Manager or a more senior team member
·  Adhering to Company operating procedures and handbook
·  Adhering to PHASE II Company values

Person specification
·  A minimum of 3yrs plus experience in Medical Communications agency/pharmaceutical Industry, or appropriate pharmaceutical industry supplier
·  Educated to degree level or above
·  Excellent client facing and interpersonal skills
·  Experience of delivering timely and profitable medical communications projects
·  Well organized and exceptional attention to detail
·  Ability to manage workflow for Account Executives
·  Ability to find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties
·  Confident in both client and company situations
·  Willing to learn new skills
·  Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
·  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
·  Hardworking adaptable and can work confidently within a group
